INSTITUTIONAL THEORY AND ISLAMIC FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: THEORETICAL APPROACH

Abstract

The current paper is aimed to elaborate the theoretical approach ofresponsibility of Islamic 
Financial Institutions with institutional theory in terms of a covenant, which establishes 
Institutional consistency towards compliance of financial tools with shariah rules. The paper 
identified the institutional pressures and consistency imposed on financial institutions which 
are under the Islamic law.
